Senior Network EngineerPrimary Place of Performance: Washington, DCMandatory Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI ClearanceYears of Experience: Senior Level (8-10+ Years)Currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the overall health, functionality, performance, and security of the customer's network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN connectivity, network hardware, telephony, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points as well as software-defined networks.Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of Cisco and Juniper IOS, switching/routing protocols, QOS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.
• Working technical knowledge of network security tools and tactics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Stays current on the latest networking technologies and trendsDuties to Include but not limited to:
  • Design, implement, maintain, and support network infrastructure for the organization
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and outages
  • Maintain and upgrade network hardware, software, firewalls, switches, routers, phones, access points
  • Implement network security measures and best practices
  • Conduct capacity planning to meet future network infrastructure needs
  • Maintain network infrastructure documentation and procedures
  • Monitor network health, availability, and bandwidth utilization
  • Work on network projects and new initiatives
  • Train and mentor junior network engineersPreferred Education and Experience:
    • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related engineering field with minimum in lieu of degree
      • 10+ years of experience as a network engineer with Cisco CCIE
      • Preferred: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
      • Preferred: Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)
      • Preferred: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE)
      • Minimum Required Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
      • Minimum Required Certification: DOD 8570 IAT II Certification (Ex. Sec+, CISSP, GCIH, CYSA+).Competitive benefits package includes:
