As a Tactical Control System Subject Matter Expert, you will be using your skills and expertise to define, review, and analyze system requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability. 5+ years of experience with AN/BYG-1 combat system is required. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience) with an additional 5+ years of job-related experience OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Defining, reviewing, and analyzing system requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability
• Providing input to project/program plans and deliverables
• Lead the review, development, and modification of procedures and products for one or more ILS functions
• Analyze current requirements documentation to develop methods and descriptions for validating requirements through tests and other means
• Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis
• Communicate project/program issues to management, as necessary
• Mentor other team membersREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• US Citizenship is required
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
• Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience) with an additional 5+ years of job-related experience OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience
• Navy experience as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) or similar (ST-Sonar Technician, ET- Electronics Technician, or IT- Information System Technician) is required
• 5+ years of experience with AN/BYG-1 combat system is required
• Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
• Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards
