Position Summary:Responsible for the overall management of the
Logistic Analysts, Import Rail Billing and Export Rail Billing for
the US. Provides guidance and support to supervisors and team
members. Implements and manages process improvement efforts to
reduce service failures and increase productivity. Analyzes
operational and performance data and trends to guide decision
making. Oversees idle / dwelling cargo to devise plan for immediate
action as well as perform root cause analysis and work with rail
suppliers for long term improvement initiatives. Collaborates and
liases between Equipment and Intermodal teams to develop holistic
network planning to optimize operations and reduce costs.
Responsible for implementing and managing cost saving initiatives
and analyzing operational spend to identify cost saving
opportunities through ownership of monthly cost reviews.
Collaborates proactively with other internal departments, vendors,
and customers to resolve issues and improve service quality.
Coordinates directly with truck, marine and rail supplier contacts
on daily basis to ensure train plan matches CMA needs to move IPI
cargo within set KPI timeframe. Responsible for decision-making of
cargo routing (i.e. ondock / offdock) and communicating deviations
to Long Beach OCU team for implementation. Communicates to
Commercial members the status of rail network and actions
associated for achieving network fluidity. Works with HO Line
Management on routing optimization initiatives. Produce forecasts
for rail and marine partners, manages balanced flows throughout
rail network alongside Equipment group where empty logistics is
impacted and maintains on-time performance reporting, highlighting
where performance is not up to par to invoke contractual terms
related to performance. This position will also be responsible for
supporting process improvement and technological advancements,
leading the projects as needed from all ILS viewpoints.
The Sr. Director, ILS Transformation and Strategy will be required
to work with HO Line Management to implement changes to vessel and
North America IPI routing. On a regular basis, this role will also
be meeting with vendors, internal stakeholders, customers, etc and
will be providing reports and presentations to support the efforts
of the ILS group. Weekly, this person will also be providing an
internal performance and action plan to CMA leadership.

Bachelor's Degree required
