ResponsibilitiesThe Peraton USCP program is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to manage the installation, configuration, monitoring, and patching of applications in a Windows environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, SSO (Single Sign-On), ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services), PowerShell scripting, and MS SQL Server. While this role does not involve direct server administration, experience managing Windows Server and Active Directory is essential. Experience with Azure cloud services and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is also required.***Must be able to work onsite at least 1X per week at the USCP OIS Headquarters (499 South Capitol Street SW, Washington DC) and as needed to support critical events which may take place over weekends and federal holidays.Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications in a Windows-based environment.
• Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches/upgrades as needed.
• Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using ADFS and other authentication mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system management, basic Python scripting.
• Work closely with Windows Administrators and Active Directory teams to ensure seamless application integration.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to monitor application performance and uptime.
• Manage application-related MS SQL Server, including database queries and optimizations.
• Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments.
• Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for application patching and configuration.
• Provide off-hours and USCP special events support when needed (pre-planned).QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years experience, Master's degree with 6+ years experience or high school diploma/GED with 12+ years experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an agency clearance.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience supporting DevOps to reengineer and automate the software development process.
  • Experience in the technical aspects of DevOps techniques, continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous deployment.
  • Experience managing Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Basic Python skills and base-level of backend development experience.
  • Experience (2 years min) with Azure cloud services and container orchestration using either or both of the following tools: Docker Compose or Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Experience with SSO (Single Sign-On), ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services), PowerShell scripting, and MS SQL Server.
