Location: Fully Remote, US-based

Schedule: M-F, 8-5 ET, 40hrs/week


Clearance Requirement: Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance



About the Role:
Are you a skilled Database Engineer looking for a fully remote opportunity to support impactful federal IT programs? We're seeking an experienced professional to join a long-term initiative with a federal agency, where you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining both custom and non-custom databases in a dynamic enterprise environment.



What You'll Do:

Design and maintain secure, scalable databases that support mission-critical applications.
Create and document data decomposition and flow diagrams.
Develop, test, and maintain stored procedures and database access code.
Collaborate with programming and technical teams to implement and uphold database standards and security protocols.
Lead efforts in documenting best practices, conventions, and procedures for enterprise database usage.
Work independently or lead small teams on complex database engineering tasks.

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of hands-on experience configuring, administering, and maintaining custom and standard databases.
Strong command of SQL and experience writing efficient database code and stored procedures.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
Familiarity with data security standards and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only due to government requirement).

Nice to Have:

Prior experience supporting federal or public sector clients.
Experience with data flow documentation tools or modeling software.
Knowledge of DevSecOps environments and database automation.
