Senior Software Engineer, Front End (UX)Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? We are seeking Front End Software Engineers who are passionate about using cutting-edge open source frameworks with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.What You'll Do:

• Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Perform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern.
• Contribute to training, onboarding curriculum, and internal learning tooling for the Capital One Tech College.
• Design, wireframe, conduct empathy interviews, and advise on the overall user experience of Tech College's internal learning tooling.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript (React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and, open source frameworks, RESTful web services, and work on cross-browser and cross-device development.Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in UX design.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.

• McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000 for Senior Software Engineer
• Richmond, VA: $144,200 - $164,600 for Senior Software EngineerThis role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
