Location: Washington, DC. Our in-office team comes together to
collaborate in our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday
and works from home Monday and Friday.Compensation: $85k-100k +

System Administrator, you will play an important role in helping to
maintain and manage our corporate technology infrastructure.
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be
able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have
the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary
teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology
infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You must have solid
communication skills, be detail-oriented, and show leadership and
an exemplary work ethic.We are a cloud-only M365 infrastructure
with an Entra-only environment. We maximize the use of automation,
automated device enrollment/autopilot to enroll and configure
devices, and are looking for an individual familiar with and eager
to leverage these modern technologies. You will report to Chris
Getner, our Chief Technology Officer.What You'll Be Responsible
For:
- IT Troubleshooting and Support:
- Take ownership of IT onboarding for new employees and
offboarding exiting employees, including but not limited to laptop
setup/destruction, managing software accounts, and ensuring
employees have the correct access levels.
- Train company employees on security protocols and help them set
up their computers, e-mail, encryption, firewalls, and other
associated tech in compliance with company policies.
- Respond to and resolve internal IT support requests, providing
timely and effective technical assistance.
- Act as the primary point of contact and coordination with
outsourced Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).
- Infrastructure:
- Manage and support the corporate Microsoft Office 365 E5
infrastructure, including provisioning and monitoring accounts,
managing security groups, and managing licenses.
- Manage and monitor the organization's security and compliance
through your proficient knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Entra,
InTune, and other 365 technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend IT solutions, tools, and technologies to
improve system efficiency and user experience.
- Maintain an internal page with technical documentation,
manuals, and IT policies.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to
ensure clear and organized information for reference and training;
maintaining both physical and software asset inventories.
- Collaborate with staff to identify needs gaps, perform research
for solutions and make recommendations. Assist with implementation
of solution as directed.
- Help develop and support company-wide document storage and
retention practices.
- SOC 2/Security:
- Project manage the SOC 2 compliance process from end to end by
assigning issues to appropriate owners, ensuring policies are up to
date, and being the point of contact for the SOC 2 auditors, both
internal and external, while the annual audit is being
conducted.
- Ensure controls and evidence are up-to-date to maintain the
company's standing.
- Ensure security updates are current across all systems.
- Ensure security tools are running properly on company networks
and devices.
- Research emerging threats and the safeguards that can provide
protection.Who You Are:
- 5-7 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, IT
Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office products,
especially M365 cloud management
- Experience supporting both PC and MAC computers; familiarity
with Apple Business Manager a strong plus
- Knowledge of system security (i.e. intrusion detection systems)
and data backup/recovery
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and
interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support to
end-users of all skill and experience levels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience supporting SOC 2 audits preferred
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related
discipline and/or professional certification (i.e. Microsoft
Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
- Experience with automation is a plusOur Core
