IT Manager-Permanent

Job Description:

The purpose of this permanent position is to install, configure, upgrade, monitor, and manage Point-of-Sale (POS) applications and hardware. This includes programs for Retail POS, Restaurant POS, Food & Beverage Inventory & Purchasing.


Responsibilities:


? Comprehensive support for Point-of-Sale Applications


a. Perform regular maintenance and version upgrades


b. Install POS related hardware, software, and peripherals


c. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems


d. Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing on all updates


e. Develop customizations and reports to meet specific department objectives


f. Train system users and managers in software operation


g. Provide after-hours maintenance and support as needed



? Support and Maintenance of Sales & Marketing CRM System


a. Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues


b. Implement customizations to meet department objectives


c. Train system users and managers in software operation


d. Maintain effective relationships with 3rd Party vendor to facilitate support needs


? Support and Maintenance of Back-Office Accounting System


a. Test and Deploy software version updates


b. Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues


c. Research, Implement, and Support 3rd Party reporting modules for ad-hoc, drill down (decomposition), and Excel-based reporting as needed


d. Create custom queries and reports as required to meet business needs



Requirements:



B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent required


At least 5-7 years of experience supporting point-of-sale systems and database applications, preferably in a hospitality or retail environment



? In-depth knowledge of Point-of-Sale applications and hardware


? In-depth knowledge of MS-FoxPro and D-base databases


? Experience with high-level reporting systems


? Experience supporting Financial applications


? Support of computer hardware and peripherals in a MS-Windows environment


? Solid MS-Office Suite skills


? Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing


? Ability to analyze and solve technical problems


? Ability to work independently and establish priorities


? Strong customer service skills
